Stop searching and book this place! We stayed 8 days in this condo with 2 adults and 2 kids (age 8 and 10). The murphy bed for the kids was perfect. We could put it up when we wanted more space and it was nice the kids had a real bed for 8 days (instead of a fold out couch). The murphy bed is a Queen and the bedroom has a King bed. Bedroom has King bed, air conditioning and an ensuite bathroom with large shower. Main bathroom has stackable washer/dryer and a smaller shower. Both bathrooms have large vanities and had enough toilet paper for our entire stay. Kitchen is very well equipped. We cooked (or heated) most meals and we had everything we needed. (We went to Costco and bought most groceries there, including their ready to cook meals). Kitchen also had spices, small supply of coffee, coffee filters and basic condiments. Kitchen also had to-go coffee mugs and plastic to-go cups to bring to the pool or beach. Ziplocs, tin foil etc is also provided. There are grocery bags for shopping in the drawers of the entrance table, as well as in the Lanai closet. Maui doesn’t give out plastic grocery bags in stores. We also had enough garbage bags for the week and the trash/garbage chute is very close to the unit to drop off when needed. The living and dining room has all the amenities of home, and another air conditioner. There are two smart TVs but we never watched TV. There is wifi included. The Lanai was our favourite part of the condo. It was huge, and much larger than most other units. There was a large table with 6 chairs, as well a one lounger. There is also a retractable clothes dryer/line on the Lanai which was very handy for bathing suits and towels. We spent almost all our time at the Condo, on the Lanai. The view is amazing and our kids could go down and play on the grass while they were in perfect view of us. The fountains are on during the day and evenings and they are nice. There is a sunset view. The sun rises and sets so fast here, at 6.30am it is completely dark and within 15 minutes it’s daylight. The closet in the Lanai has all the beach items you need. There is a collapsible wagon, 4 Beach chairs, 2 coolers for the Beach or day drives, sand toys, a large umbrella for the beach and 2 boogie boards. We used it all, daily! Beach towels are also in the bedroom closet. A tip from Joe and Gee was to use the wagon to haul up groceries and etc to the condo. There is an elevator right in front of your front door. We took the stairs if we weren’t carrying a bunch of stuff. Parking is conveniently in front of the condo. Building 10 is desirable, it is the first building as you enter the condo unit grounds which is quick to park and also to walk to from the beach. The pool, was nice but crowded at times. We went earlier in the morning which was better. The beach was the best! A short walk across the street and you are there. We would bring the wagon full and take the ramp down to the beach and find a spot. The earlier you go, the better. We always found a spot but some spots are better than others. It was nice the condo has a code lock so we didn’t have to bring keys to the beach. This beach has some rocks to watch out for, which the lifeguards will tell you if are you getting too close. The lifeguard said Kamaole Beach III (which is the closest beach to the condo) has the most rocks out of the 3 Kamaole beaches, but we never walked to the other ones because this one was good. When we walked back to the condo, there is a shower stand at the entrance of the condo gate so we would rinse our feet and everything else before going back up to the condo. Kihei location – if you have never been to Maui, the location options are overwhelming. We chose Kihei because of the general location to the rest of the island. No regrets. We did the Haleakala Summit, road to Hana, went south to Wailea and toured around West Maui, all on different days and the central location of Kihei was nice. We only ate out when we were on the road, and then once to the Coconut’s Fish Cafe which was a short walk north and the fish tacos were so good. Book this place!
